Did you know we offer a survey of your production house at no charge? We can advise on issues such as proper equipment selection, plant water consumption, conserving process vacuum, and interchangeability of pumps and parts. Most companies charge for these types of surveys and seminars, we feel that our payment comes when customers specify The Pump Company as their exclusive supplier of process equipment.
Technical Training
The Pump Company offers technical assistance and training seminars to all of our customers. We offer
in house seminars at your location or we can arrange for "factory" training at various locations. We
make use of demonstrator models, video tapes, and many technical manuals to cover all from basic
hydraulics, corrosion, emissions control, to rebuilding a pump. We can also advise on installation of
pumps in the field and suggest solutions to some of the various problems that may arise during start up.
We offer this service at no charge to customers who purchase our products. The Pump Company believes
in educating our customers in respect to our products.. The best thing about the quality products we
sell is that we have strong factory support and can get the answers customers need. We also keep a
confidential history of the equipment customers purchase and any modifications made to that equipment.
This helps us direct our efforts to a customers exact needs and allows us to offer any new features
which have become available.
Mechanical Seal Testing
Pumps assembled in our Charlotte facility are subject to a quality control checklist, part of which is
a hydrostatic test of the mechanical seal. To be assured that premature failures are not installed
failures, we test every assembly to ensure the product is shipped right the first time. We maintain
records of pressure, method, and test duration of each pump assembly in our permanent files for your
future reference. Water or air testing is available, depending on the service conditions.
Vacuum Testing
To compliment the factory performance tests done on all of the pumps we represent, The Pump Company
offers field test methods and assistance on all of our vacuum pumps. We can provide single and dual
plate orifice testing, and regularly train our customers so they can check and properly maintain their
equipment as well.
Laser Alignment
The Pump Company laser aligns pump and motor shafts on each base assembly we fabricate. We keep a
maximum misalignment of .005" total angular and parallel although we average .003" or less on most of
our assemblies. Custom alignment specs can be followed and are fully documented prior to shipment.
