Vooner Vacuum Pumps is a manufacturer of liquid ring vacuum pumps. Designed to protect process
vacuum and reduce production related costs. Seven sizes are available from 175 to 8000 cfm with
vacuum levels of 4 – 26" Hg.
All Vooner Vanegard® pumps "Basic" construction comes equipped with solid cast 304 s.s. cones as
standard construction. Other pump components are available in stainless steel construction as options.
The 304 s.s. prevents erosive and corrosive wear at the critical seal area, therefore maintaining the
original close tolerance between the rotor and cones much longer than cast iron.
The Vanegard® patented dual water supply system enables the use of up to 75% pre-used secondary water,
and as little as 25% fresh water for the sealing liquid. The secondary water is introduced into the
pump housing through a secondary water manifold. Fresh water forms the seal between the rotor and cones
and lubricates the packing, while the secondary water forms the liquid ring in the body of the pump.
Vooner VaneGard® pumps also feature a unique self-aligning bearing carrier. This allows bearing removal
and replacement without removing the heads from the pumps housing in approximately one hour. This
greatly reduces pump downtime when a bearing change is necessary. Vanegard® pumps can be completely
disassembled using only hand tools.
