Application Forms:
Positive displacement pumps from Alfa Laval are able to handle low, medium and high viscosity media
because of the non-contact pump element design, and can be found in virtually every industry where
gentle, sanitary processing of viscous product is required.
The hygienic design, anti-corrosive stainless steel construction and smooth pumping action have long
established these pumps in the food, beverage, dairy and pharmaceutical industries.
Features
- Gentle transfer of delicate suspended solids.
- Bi-directional operation.
- Compact size with high performance and low energy input.
- Ability to pump shear sensitive media.
- Easy maintenance.
Our Series S stainless steel rotary lobe pumps operate at the heart of process industries worldwide.
Series S pumps fulfill a wide range of application requirements throughout Chemical, Food,
Pharmaceutical and other related industries. Handling from low to high viscosity pumped media, the
characteristic smooth, low shear pumping action is ideal for delicate media and where organic solids in
suspension, creams, froths, gels, emulsions and mixtures are to be pumped.
Series D ductile iron rotary lobe pumps from Alfa Laval fulfill positive transfer duties throughout
industry where the use of stainless steel for pumphead components is not essential, in application
areas such as Petrochemicals, Chemical, Paper, Paints and Polymers, Petfood, Chocolate and Sugar.
Ductile iron pumps are engineered to high standards to provide the level of service expected
from Alfa Laval Limited products.
Our Alfa Laval Series SD Single Disc & Series DD Dual Disc reciprocating, mechanically driven pumps
offer a cost-effective, low maintenance and efficient alternative to conventional pumping technologies.
Our heavy-duty SD/DD Series pumps easily handle sludge, scum, slurries and various industrial wastes
containing fibrous material. The seal-less design eliminates sealing problems and allows for dry
running and suction lift conditions. The flexibility of these pumps can be expanded using a wide range
of either motor or engine drives.
